Reading in today's time

When I read Kevin Kell's "Reading in a Whole New Way", I learned some fascinating facts. For one I learned that the average person reads more on the internet that on paper. The average person looks up the information on a item before buying it so that he or she doesn't get the wrong item. But on the other hand, while reading Annie Sneed's " Everything science knows About Reading on Screens" Annie explains you can see how much you are reading in an e-book but you won't get the tactile experience from turning the pages, making it more difficult to create a mental map of text. So,  being able to have the information on screen takes away from the tactical experience but, it is better to have the information at the tap of a screen to save the hassle.
